Argentina stun Croatia, complicate Group II
Argentina pulled off one of the surprises of Egypt 2021, as they beat Croatia 23:19 to keep their chances of progression to the quarterfinals stage up.
Argentina started the first period in supreme fashion, as it took Croatia 11 minutes to score their first goal - that's one after Argentina's first five. The Croatians did claw back eventually and the first period ended in a 12:12 draw somehow.
With both teams' chances on the line, Argentina fought to regain supremacy and eventually did achieve it, widening the gap to four goals in the process as Croatia's remarkable first period comeback was brought back down to earth.
Croatia's Ivan Cupic took home the player of the match award, after scoring seven goals.
Argentina face Qatar next while Croatia come up against reigning champions Denmark.
