Title holders Denmark see off brave Bahrain
Denmark strolled to a wide win against Bahrain in their opening match of Group D in Egypt 2021, with a score of 34:20.
Bahrain seemed to be up to the task in the opening 10 minutes of the match, but Denmark's experience and physicality soon decided the first period 19:10 in their favour.
Denmark widened the gap throughout the second half as Bahrain fell further behind the world champions, providing little contest for the Scandinavian side.
Top scorer Mathias Gisdel won the man of the match accolade, having scored 10 goals from 11 tries.
Denmark top the group and face DR Congo in their next match, while bottom of the group Bahrain face Argentina.
