Megastar Tamer Hosni performs Egypt 2021 official song

Egypt's Head of State, H.E President Abdel Fatah El Sisi attended the opening ceremony of the 27th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship, Egypt 2021.

The opening ceremony was also attended by IHF President Hassan Mostafa and the President of LOC Hesham Nasr.

The opening ceremony witnessed a display of the participants’ flags, followed by a Canadian artistic team performance.

Egyptian megastar Tamer Hosni, joined by singers Marawan Mousa and Houda El- Sherbini, performed the official song of the World Championship.

Egypt is the first country to host such major international event in the shadow of coronavirus pandemic.

Egypt host the World Championship from 13 to 31 January 2021 with 32 teams participating for the first time in the tournament's history.

The LOC of the World Championship applies strict precautionary measures while organising the tournament starting from the "quarantine" medical bubble system for all particpants to ensure their safety during the coronavirus pandemic.

Egypt 2021 participants are to undergo PCR tests every 48 hours to ensure the success of the 27th IHF Men's World Championships, Egypt 2021.

Hosts Egypt start their mission in the World Championship by playing against the Czech Republic on Wednesday 13 January at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Complex Main Hall.
