Road to Egypt 2021: France reached the 27th Men’s Handball World Championship after the cancellation of the European qualifiers, as they came 14th at the Men’s EHF EURO 2020.

France was able to make the cut and qualify for Egypt 2020 because defending champion Denmark, who came 13th at the Men’s EHF EURO 2020, have automatically booked their place.

History: France have the most Handball World Championship titles of any team, with six wins to their name from 1995, 2001, 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2017. They have competed in the championship a massive 22 times.

Les Experts are set to be a powerful contender when at Egypt 2021, the 27th edition of the IHF World Championship.

France have made seven appearances in the Summer Olympic Games, starting in 1992 in Barcelona. They took gold medals at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

They have also made 22 appearances in the World Championship, starting with their participation in the international tournament back in 1954.
