Norway's coach Berg: Spain's encounter is tough, Bubble keeps us safe

Head coach of the Norwegian team Christian Berge emphasised that their quarterfinal clash against Spain in Egypt 2021 is a difficult one.

"We haven't beaten Spain for 24 years; we have lost 16 games and drew only once. It's going to be a tough and thrilling game,"

"Our level performance have been improving as we advance in the competition. In the beginning, we weren't the better side against France."

Berg highlighted Egypt 's effort in applying strict precautionary measures through the 'Bubble Concept'.

"The organisation is very good in accommodation and transportation. The decision to go through a PCR test on a daily basis made us feel safe and secured especially with us having our own dining room. That made us extremely comfortable."

The Norwegian head coach had also praised the role of the volunteers in the event and that he would have loved to have seen fans in the stands.

"We know the whole world is forcing us to play behind closed doors because of the COVID-19 pandemic".

Berg concluded by saying that he believes the team of Argentina was one of the distinguished teams in the competition ‘despite their early exit from the Main Round."
