New Capital Sports Hall, Cairo

The New Capital Sports Hall is part of Egypt’s newest sport facilities, built specially to host Egypt 2021, the 27th Men’s Handball World Championship.

With a capacity of 7,500, the hall is located inside the integrated Sports City in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, east of Cairo. The Sports City was built at a cost of 2.2 billion Egyptian pounds (over $137 million). It is home to a halls’ complex, a swimming complex, and several multi-purpose courts and fields.

The New Capital Sports Hall is 60 km  (37 miles) from downtown Cairo, and 60 km (37 miles) from the stunning Red Sea beaches at Ain El Sokhna. The short drive to the sea is made easier thanks to an extensive network of new roads and transportation systems.
