Egyptian President El-Sisi declares Egypt 2021 open

Egypt's Head of State, H.E President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi has declared open the IHF 27th Men's Handball World Championship, which has thrown off today at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Complex.

In his opening speech, the President said :" Allow me  to welcome you all, distinguished guests here in Egypt, in this major and biggest sports gathering in the world, where we deliver a message that confirms how the world is now capable to adapt to the new reality which the Coronavirus pandemic has imposed on us."

" We will overcome this ordeal in cohesion and integrity capable of  facing any other challenges and become more understandable to the value of life amid a peaceful and safe co-existence among nations.

"We declare open the 27th Men's Handball World Championship." H. E President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi concluded.

Egypt 2021 is considered historic with 32 nations taking part for the first time in the history of the World Championship.

The two- week tournament is being held in four different venues; the Cairo Stadium Indoor Complex, the Dr Hassan Moustafa Indoor Complex, the New Capital City Hall and the Borg El Arab Hall.
